Chester Bennington Chooses 'Ink, Not Mink'
Chester Bennington contributes his stellar vocals to bands Linkin Park and Dead By Sunrise,
and now Chester is using his pipes to speak up for animals. In his ad
for PETA, Chester bares his skin to help animals keep theirs and
encourages his fans to choose "Ink, Not Mink."
As a big animal-lover and supporter of animal rights, Chester is speaking out against fur because of the inherent cruelty of the fur industry. Says Chester, "Electrocuting animals, skinning them while they're alive—these are acts of inhumanity." He explains, "Because it's out of sight, it's usually out of mind for most people, and we need to show our respect for all creatures of this world."
In addition to boycotting fur, Chester also promotes adopting homeless animals rather than buying animals from pet stores and encourages his fans to always spay and neuter their dogs and cats—all great ways to help animals.
